Testimonials
“I had never danced before prior to this, so I was very nervous going in. They were great, and they made me feel very comfortable. I have learned a lot in a very short amount of time.”
Nat | Sherman Oaks
“They are great. My wife and I have never danced before and Jim and Tania were very patient with us. Both of them are knowledgeable and passionate about dancing. If you want to learn how to dance, I recommend them.”
Jason | Los Angeles
“Well trained instructors is just the half of it! It’s rare in LA to have a warm and welcoming dance studio. JT Ballroom is a place where teachers and students are family, and as a family we learn to dance, correctly and passionately!”
Erin | Hermosa Beach

FAQ’s
Free Intro Lesson
The goal of your free intro lesson is simply to introduce you to dancing and is a great way for you to experience first hand what JT Ballroom is all about. Think of it as a sampler. There are no obligations. It also helps you narrow down what exactly you want to learn. It allows your teacher to organize a ‘game-plan’ for your dancing goals, and gives you a chance to check us out before signing up for anything. Let’s see if we’re a good match.
What to Wear
We require full dance costume. JUST KIDDING! Just wear something you are comfortable in and something that does not restrict your movement. When it comes to shoes, the most important thing to remember is that they are stable and secure on your feet (no flip flops). Dress shoes are usually best. Please avoid athletic shoes as the rubber soles grip the floor and cause injury.
What if I Don’t Have a Partner?
No Partner? No Problem! The beauty of a private lesson is that your fantastic teacher is your dance partner. Our group classes are also designed to accommodate everyone. Students rotate throughout the class, giving everyone a chance to dance with a partner.
